June 23: National Pecan Sandy Day. I’m kind of sorry that I Googled this because I found the Urban Dictionary definition, which is gross (think “camel toe”).
June 24: National Pralines Day. Personal fact: When I was young(er) one of my favourite ice cream flavours was pralines and cream. I’ve always been nuts about anything caramel (no pun intended).
June 25: National Strawberry Parfait Day. Do you remember the episode of Muppets Tonight in which Prince did a spoof of “Raspberry Beret” called “Raspberry Sorbet”? Now I’m singing “strawberry parfait” to that tune. Strawberries are in season.
June 27: National Orange Blossom Day. I’m not certain what the context for “orange blossom” is here (the flower of the orange?) but I chose to link to the alcoholic drink.
