- Toronto Life on poutine. The Toronto Star recently did a piece about poutine, as did the Globe and Mail and BlogTO. Is poutine suddenly trendy? I would attibute the timing of BlogTO’s story to coincidence. It was part of their “Best of Toronto” series. I was eating it years ago as a student in Ottawa. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, after-bar, it was always a good time for poutine. The curds have to be just right.
